Procrastination and interruptions are two of the most common barriers to productivity in today’s fast-paced work environments. While time management is often discussed, employees are rarely equipped with simple, actionable strategies to tackle their unique challenges.
This course delivers an on-demand, 10-minute learning experience tailored to help professionals quickly identify their biggest time traps, apply proven strategies (like “Eat the Frog” and setting boundaries), and create a personalized “Time Rescue Plan” they can start using right away.
To ensure this project stayed aligned with business goals and user needs, I began with the ADDIE framework and used action mapping to zero in on what learners needed to do differently—not just know. The objective? Help learners apply practical techniques to manage procrastination and interruptions of their time.
During Design, I mapped key content to bite-sized lessons and created interactive elements like drag-and-drop, branching knowledge checks, and a downloadable action plan.
For Development, I used Rise 360 for visual polish and mobile responsiveness, Canva and Loom for branded design and video modeling, and exported the final course to be hosted via AWS.
I continually reviewed content flow, design consistency, and engagement value to make sure every minute of the learner’s time was meaningful.
Less is More in Microlearning: Designing within a 10-minute limit pushed me to make every word, interaction, and resource count—leading to a more focused and engaging experience.
Action Mapping in Action: Focusing the course around real decisions learners needed to make (e.g., how to handle interruptions) helped ensure practical outcomes.
Interactive Doesn’t Mean Complicated: Simple, well-placed drag-and-drop and knowledge checks were enough to increase engagement without overwhelming the learner.
Quick Wins + Personalized Plan = Impact: Offering both instant strategies and a downloadable Time Rescue Plan created a strong balance between immediate action and long-term behavior change.
